When it comes to apply decorative or protective coatings achieving a durable, even coating is essential. One of the most effective methods for applying protective coatings is airless paint spraying. This technique offers several benefits over traditional methods like brushing or rolling, making it a preferred choice for professionals and enthusiasts alike. So why don’t more of us use this application method? well simply cost.
Airless paint sprayers used to start at around £1300 these units would provide up to 300psi of pressure and be capable of supporting a fairly large tip (provides the spray pattern) and would happy spray emulsions, undercoats, gloss and Light to Medium viscosity protective coatings. However in the last 10-12 years manufacturers like Wagner have bought out cheaper domestic Airless units that can be used in the home, these unit would cost more like £500.
Until recently these units would need to be plugged into an electricity source and had an amount of useable hose. Would be handy if this could be cordless though!
