Slosh Fuel Tank Sealer “Ethanol-Resistant Fuel Tank Sealer – Protect Your Tank from Modern Fuels”
“The Slosh fuel tank sealer – new formula provides durable ethanol-resistance for steel and aluminium petrol and diesel tanks…”
Slosh fuel tank sealer seals steel and aluminium petrol and diesel fuel tanks with a durable, ethanol-resistant fuel tank sealer formula. Tested with up to 85% corn ethanol, Slosh shows no degradation or softening, effectively protecting tanks against modern fuels, including current E5 and proposed E10 ethanol blends.
For best results, thoroughly clean the tank interior with Rustbuster Tank-Kleen before application. We offer combined kits with both Slosh fuel tank sealer and Tank-Kleen for your convenience. Remove any old or failing sealers using Rustbuster R10-B1 Resin Remover before sealing.
The new Slosh ethanol proof formula has a lower viscosity than previous versions, allowing it to flow easily inside the tank, reaching all surfaces without pooling. This thinner consistency also makes it quicker and easier to pour out after application.

For the best results, follow these tips:
- Do use nuts, washers, or sharp stones as abrasives with the Tank-Kleen solution to help remove rust and old petrol deposits.
- Do ensure the tank is completely dry before applying the sealer.
- Do remove or protect anything you don’t want sealed, such as plugs, fuel gauge sender units, breather pipes, and filters.
- Do not apply the sealer to a wet or damp tank, as it will react with moisture and cause bubbling.
- Do not allow the sealer to pool in thick layers, which can trap solvents and lead to bubbling.
