Product Questions

No, it isn’t. Our Epoxy Mastic is an original Rustbuster formulation and developed inhouse.

No. Fe-123 is a rust converter designed to treat and stabilise surface rust. It should only be applied to properly prepared, rusty areas.

No. Fe-123 converts rust—no rust means no conversion. Applying it to clean metal leaves tannic acid on the surface, which can attract moisture and may cause staining on light-coloured topcoats.

Simply because those “one can does all” products don’t work effectively. While Rustbuster systems may seem more involved, they’re proven to deliver long-term protection when used correctly. If you’re unsure, contact us—our team is always happy to guide you through your project.

For every full Hot Fog service, vehicles are always steam cleaned with Chlor-X and TFR before being brought inside — this has always been, and always will be, our standard practice. Please note that Lano Coating Services do not include steam cleaning.

You’re very welcome to stay with Rustbuster during any stage of the process. We also have a viewing window in reception and can provide photos of your vehicle throughout the treatment.

Corrolan Pure is a high Solids Lanolin Wax, this is not to be confused with the watery Lanolin solutions readily available on the internet, if you intend on spraying this through a spray bottle think again it’s not going to work. Corrolan requires heat to thin it enough for application, when heated to 26°c it will become like a heavy oil at 40°c thinner again and can be easily spray applied through a Schutz gun.
