COATING REMOVAL SERVICE
Rustbuster have teamed up with Enviro-Strip to offer a collection, strip and return service for petrol tanks requiring all coatings to be removed. Tanks will be returned coated in a rust inhibitor ready to be repaired, sealed and painted externally.
The price includes collection (DHL, APC or Fedex depending on location) stripping of all internal and external coatings by Enviro-Strip, rust inhibitor application and baking before being repackaged and sent back to your address.
- The first stage of the process breaks down the paint, filler & seam sealant to a fine powder, our process eliminates the
need for any harsh chemicals which may cause issues later in life.
Our 2 Pyrolysis units are both brand new & use the latest
technology.
- The second stage removes the rust & leaves the customer a
clean body shell to work on. Once the shell comes out from the
de-rusting stage it is then neutralised & then finally immersed
into a rust inhibitor bath, this stops any surface rust appearing
on the shell for approximately 2 months giving you time to
complete any repairs.
- The third stage involves us inspecting the tank to
ensure any sections are free from debris.
Once the seam welds have been airlined dry the tank is
then low baked for 2-3 hours to ensure all areas are completely
dry, for the final stage the shell is then hand finished leaving a
clean surface ready for the restoration to begin.
