Rustbuster T.Wash is a Mordant solution for the treatment of new galvanised surfaces prior to painting. New galvanised surfaces unlike weathered galvanising are too greasy to paint the correct treatment prior to painting is as follows. Degease with Rustbuster SP10 Pre paint prep. Wash with fresh water. When dry apply Rustbuster T.Wash mordant solution the galvanising will turn black. Any bare areas that do not turn black should be re cleaned with Rustbuster SP10 and re-treated with the T.wash. Once black this is a clear indication that the galvanised steel is ready to accept a paint coating. Such as Rustbuster Epoxy-Mastic.Faliure to prepare new galvanising correctly will lead to system failure.
