NPG 100% Waterless coolant presents zero potential to aid electrolytic corrosion with an engine no matter what the mix of metals. The use of various metals with differing rust potential is common in engines of all types it is not unusual to have steel/iron, copper, aluminium, brass magnesium and other alloys all within the same unit. Each metal has a differing rate of corrosion one metal will be referred to as less noble than another the less noble metal will be consumed in the corrosion process eg. Zinc anodes attached to a steel Hull. The less noble metal becomes the anode the less noble metals the cathode, the less noble metal is consumed in an electrolytic process. That's correct the very thing we use to mix with anti freeze, and to make matters worse often ordinary tap water which is full of chemicals which accelerate the engine corrosion process even faster. EVANS Original NPG 100% waterless coolant will happily cool at maximum performance using zero coolant pressure; this makes it ideal for vintage cars running a pressure less coolant system. For other vehicles we recommend the use of a 7lb cap as this is the easiest one to buy. This huge reduction in pressure takes a load off of the coolant hoses and the head gasket so it's win win all the way.
